January 17, 2005 - Air
Alpha A/S of Odense, Denmark has announced the purchase
of a MOTUS® Bell 222 flight simulation device from Fidelity. The simulator
will be type specific to the Bell 222U model, and will include Fidelity's 6-axis
motion base, LCD Mosaic Wall external visual display, and dynamic control loading.
Air Alpha will use the device for Bell 222 crew training to support its European
and Greenland flight operations, as well as offer the device for training other
operators in the Scandinavian and European market.
September 16, 2004 - The Department of Aeronautics at Imperial
College London has ordered a MOTUS® flight simulation device from
Fidelity Flight Simulation. The College will use the MOTUS simulator for a wide
range of aerospace vehicle design research applications. Flight training in the
MOTUS simulator will be provided in conjunction with Field
International, Fidelity’s U.K. partner.
June 5, 2004 - simTrain LLC, a new company specializing
in supporting flight training for Cirrus aircraft, is purchasing three Cirrus-specific,
full motion simulators from Fidelity Flight Simulation. SimTrain will place these
Fidelity MOTUS® simulators in Cirrus Certified Training Centers around the
country, providing Cirrus pilots with the finest training support of any general
aviation aircraft.
The Fidelity Cirrus simulators will be able to replicate
an SR22 or SR20 aircraft, and will additionally be able to simulate the Avidyne
Entegra® PFD or standard instrument displays.
An article titled "Partial Panel Paranoia"
in the May 2004 issue of Aviation
Safety Magazine included the following paragraphs:
"The
best solution is to use a simulator such as the Motus Flight Simulation Device.
Certified as a level 3 training device, the Motus uses 6-degrees of freedom motion
to mimic the airplane's movement. It's now finding its way into flight schools
around the country. One local flight school has a Motus that rents for less than
a Skyhawk - with no time wasted taxiing or being vectored through busy airspace.
"That
makes it cheaper, more efficient and more effective at partial panel than airplane-based
training could hope to be."
Fly-Low,
a monthly aviation publication, included in its May 2004 issue an article titled
"From
Link to Motus," which discusses a Motus simulator installed at
the Aerospace
Education Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Central
Flying Service of Little Rock purchased the Motus™ 322p full motion
flight simulator and will integrate the Motus simulator into its flight-training
program, as well as make the simulator available as a working exhibit at the Aerospace
Education Center.
March 8, 2004 - Fidelity Flight Simulation has completed
a type-specific MOTUS simulator for the Eurocopter EC-135.
March 8, 2004 - The Eurocopter simulator is the first full-motion Eurocopter
flight simulation device in North America. Fidelity's customer, STAT
MedEvac, currently either provides training in the actual aircraft or sends
its pilots out-of-state for training, to a simulator replicating an entirely different
aircraft type. On delivery, STAT MedEvac will not only be able to provide its
pilots more frequent training at its primary facility, but will be able to do
so in a flight simulation device replicating their aircraft. Pilots will be able
to practice with many of the same systems they would use in the actual aircraft,
including engine start, FADEC management and failure procedures, full autopilot
functionality, management of ICP functions to select VOR or GPS source data, and
responses to various failure indications. The MOTUS EC-135 simulator will also
be ideal for a wide range of standard and emergency flight maneuvers, including
autorotation, loss of tail rotor effectiveness, tail rotor failure, and dynamic
rollover avoidance.
As with all
MOTUS flight simulators the EC 135 device includes the MOTUS IFR training environment,
permitting flight in an almost limitless variety of ceilings, visibilities, precipitation,
turbulence and wind shear.
January 28, 2004 - Fidelity has delivered a simulator that's
type specific for the Conquest 441 and 425 to its customer ProFlight,
Inc. in Carlsbad, CA. This simulator offers full 441 and 425 cockpit system
replication, with all necessary systems functioning to meet ProFlight's training
curriculum.
Examples
of system functionality include engine start, engine fire and failure, emergency
gear extension and runaway trim. Dynamic control loading provides 110 lbs. of
rudder pressure in practicing Vmc scenarios, the feedback pressure experienced
in the actual aircraft. Even though the Conquest 441 and 425 are entirely different
aircraft, with different aerodynamic performance, engines, and operational systems,
Fidelity was able to provide a simulator configurable for both. And with a dual
Garmin 530/430 GPS combination, ProFlight's simulator offers the latest in system
avionics. Fidelity's simulator establishes ProFlight as the top Conquest training
organization in the nation.
If
you're up for some pretty serious testimonials about
the value and student satisfaction with MOTUS devices,
we modestly suggest that you check
some out some testimonials here.
As with all MOTUS flight simulators
the Conquest device includes the MOTUS IFR training environment, permitting flight
in an almost limitless variety of ceilings, visibilities, precipitation, turbulence
and wind shear.
January
6, 2004 - Air Orlando Device Achieves FTD Level 3 Certification Air Orlando's new MOTUS
flight simulation device has achieved FTD Level 3 certification from the FAA.

Air
Orlando Purchases MOTUS Flight Simulation Device Air
Orlando, located at Orlando Executive Airport, has purchased a MOTUS 622i
Flight Simulation Device (FSD) from Fidelity Flight Simulation. Besides aerodynamic
flight models for the C-172, Beech Baron and Piper Seneca I, Fidelity will also
provide Air Orlando with a special “Upset” trainer capable of spin
training. Spin awareness, prevention and recovery is one of the prime objectives
of Air Orlando, which wants to provide this training to its students in a safe
and non-intimidating environment. Here's
a complete press release.
Turbine Training Center Secures Level 3 Certification
for Fidelity Type Specific Cessna Caravan FTD
ProFlight,
Inc.
of Carlsbad, CA, one of the leading initial and
recurrent type-specific flight training organizations in the country, has purchased

STAT
MedEvac, a Pittsburgh-headquartered medical transport company, awarded
Fidelity Flight Simulation a contract to complete a
full motion flight simulation device (FSD) for the Eurocopter
EC135 helicopter. This simulator will be the first Eurocopter
full motion flight simulation device in North America, and will allow STAT
MedEvac to provide its pilots superior flight training at a
dramatically lower cost. The simulator’s affordability will allow
the FSD to be located at STAT MedEvac’s home base in
Pittsburgh, PA, rather than requiring STAT MedEvac pilots to travel to
Florida for training in a simulator which models an entirely different aircraft
type. Here's a complete press release.
