Instructor's Operation Station

Fidelity’s Instructor’s Operation Station (IOS) provides all the capability to manage flight operations, aircraft malfunctions and environmental conditions. The IOS platform includes two LCDs, one for monitoring aircraft instrumentation and another for managing and monitoring the flight conditions.

Some of Fidelity’s IOS capabilities:

•  The aircraft can be placed at any airfield at any runway, or in the air at any location in any flight condition.
   
•   The instructor can monitor the aircraft flight profile from a variety of overhead views or, for approach and landing training, overhead and elevation views.
   
•   The instructor can set an almost endless variety of environmental conditions, including temperature, ceilings, precipitation (rain or snow), visibilities, winds, turbulence, wind shear, and time of day.
   
•  The instructor can insert a wide variety of aircraft malfunctions.
   
•  The instructor can Save and Load various situations that will be commonly performed in training.
   
•  The instructor can replay any previously done maneuver and review details with the student.
   
•   The instructor's station includes a unique “Chase” mode, permitting the instructor to monitor the aircraft as if following the student in a chase plane. This view can be adjusted to any position outside the aircraft.
