Pittsburgh Flight Training Center (PFTC) has earned FAA Level 3 Flight Training Device approval for its MOTUS 621 simulation device. PFTC will use the MOTUS simulation device in its primary, instrument, commercial and recurrent flight training programs at Allegheny County Airport (AGC), Pittsburgh.

“This was one of our earliest production units,” claims Mark Limbach, VP Marketing for Fidelity. “Pittsburgh Flight Training Center acquired the unit from another training organization and we’re pleased we could assist them in getting the level of approval they needed. Amongst other things, Level 3 approval allows Pittsburgh Flight Training to perform Instrument Proficiency Checks in the simulator. “

PFTC will also use the training device to pre-qualify pilot applicants for its parent company, Corporate Jets, Inc. Using the MOTUS simulator as a pre-qualification tool allows Corporate Jets to cost effectively determine if the pilot has the requisite flight skills before a major investment in that applicant is made.
