August 6, 2007: Guardian Flight Inc., a Fairbanks-based
air ambulance service providing critical care transport across Alaska, into
Canada and into the lower
48, has purchased a MOTUS type-specific King Air B200 simulation
device from
Fidelity Flight Simulation. The Guardian Flight B200 simulator will provide
pre-qualification, initial, and recurrent training for Guardian Flight’s
growing King Air crew base.
To ensure that the simulation device meets all training requirements,
Guardian Flight assembled an extensive cockpit configuration and training task
list.
Fidelity worked with Guardian Flight to rank the training tasks according to
their importance and frequency, and to be certain that all tasks could be accommodated
in the simulation device at the lowest possible cost.
The B200 simulator will be configured exactly as Guardian
Flight’s aircraft,
with Collins ProLine II radios, a Garmin 530 GPS unit, a Collins FCS-65 autopilot,
and Raisbeck King Air engine modifications.
Guardian Flight Inc. is an Alaskan air ambulance service providing critical
