New Central
Flying Service Motus Simulator to
be installed at
Aerospace Education Center Central
Flying Service, a Part-61 and -141 flight school
based at Little Rock (AR) National Airport, has purchased a Motus 322p full
motion flight simulator for installation at the Aerospace
Education Center. Central Flying will integrate the Motus simulator into its
flight training program, as well as make the simulator available as a working
exhibit at the Aerospace Education Center. Manufactured
by Fidelity Flight Simulation of Pittsburgh, PA, the Motus 322p flight simulator
offers a 3 degree-of-freedom motion base along with a 2-person, dual instrument
cockpit and Fidelity's 140° four monitor RealVision external display. Fidelity
is the leader in affordable full motion flight simulation, and can offer the 322p
to Central Flying for less than the cost of most static flight training devices.
"We are especially excited
about the placement of this unit at the Aerospace Education Center," says
Graham Hodgetts, President of Fidelity Flight Simulation. "The Motus not
only allows Central Flying to provide flight training for its students, it will
also be a marvelous educational tool. In the morning flight students can be working
on their instrument rating, and in the afternoon patrons at the Aerospace Education
Center can be flying the Space Shuttle!" The
Motus flight simulator, which has been certified by the FAA at FTD Level 2, will
also be equipped with a Garmin 530 GPS system. The Garmin 530 will offer the exact
same functionality as the aircraft model, except for receiving all position data
from the simulator rather than from satellites. Central
Flying Service is a Part 61 and 141 flight school based at Little Rock National
